Product Description

Espirito Santo is one of the smallest states in Brazil, and oddly, it's populated mostly by those of Italian descent. Abandoned sugarcane plantations were divided up into small plots and sold to these immigrants, who started growing coffee instead. The region is mountainous, and coffee is hand-picked by family members; unlike the norm in the rest of Brazil, the coffee is processed using semi-washed methods because of the misty, humid environment. All this lends itself to a unique cup profile outside the norm for Brazil: cacao powder and nougat sweetness, with jammy plum notes, mandarin, orange blossom, and vanilla, making this coffee great for espresso and drip.
