This coffee is from the privately owned Gerba Doku Tuku coffee mill. The mill sits at over 6900 feet elevation, and some of the surrounding farms are at even higher elevation than that. Higher altitude can mean slower growth and drying, and better flavor.
Speaking of flavor: layered notes of maple syrup, honey, and chai spice, with blueberry and blackberry, juicy honeydew melon, and coffee fruit, as well as more floral rose-like notes than expected for a natural-process coffee. Impressively complex, this coffee will rock as pourover, drip, or espresso.
