Gesha/Geisha is a cultivar that's taken the coffee world by storm, particularly from a select few farms in Panama, with some of the world's most expensive, award-winning coffees being comprised of Gesha. Ethiopia is the birthplace of all coffee, and Gesha is simply an Ethiopian cultivar with unique flavor characteristics. This coffee contains both Gori Gesha and Gesha 1931, grown near the Gori Gesha Forest in Northern Ethiopia.
Not only is this coffee of the highest pedigree, but it's processed anaerobically for 92 hours, using cherries with unusually high Brix (sugar content), then naturally dried on raised beds as is the norm in Ethiopia.
Notes of ripe black cherry are front and center, accompanied by loads of sweet nectarine, white sangria, and raspberry framboise, balanced by dark chocolate, gentle spice notes, and sweet hibiscus tea. This is going to excel in any drip or pourover method, and create exciting, juicy espresso!
