We recently had the 48hr Natural from Hugo Brito, and this is pretty much the same as that excellent coffee, just with more truck.
'Say what?', you query. Well, Hugo likes to experiment on his farm, Fazenda Santa Hegwirdes; for this coffee, he wondered what would happen if he tried to mimic an old style of accidental fermentation, where picked cherries would ferment in tractor trailer beds, so he....fermented it in a truck bed, purposely mimicking the accidental technique from the past. I'm sure that burning question had kept him up nights, so here we are, and now we know: it's pretty nice!
Notes of galvanized steel and LineX....
I'm kidding, of course. Notes of almond butter and cacao powder, dried pineapple, fresh apricot and peach, even some guava, and light floral notes, like orange blossom on top. Killer any way you brew it!
