Kayon Mountain Farm is family owned and run by Ismael Areda since 2012. Moderately sized at 500 hectares, the farm pays higher than average local wages, to pull workers away from working in a nearby mine, and they have built a school, medical clinic, bridge, and roads, and also assist with buying schoolbooks for local children.
Notes of canned peach and fresh raspberry are front and center, with purple plummy notes, loads of caramel sweetness, and jasmine, bergamot, and citrus zest rounding it out. Excellent any way you brew it!
